Bulk actions

If you have the Bulk Actions privilege under Configuration Components\Configuration enabled, a Bulk Actions option appears on the Web Access query menu icon menu on the query results title bar. This enables you to run an action on a number of items at the same time.

The following action types are not available for bulk actions:

  • Add Attachment
  • add actions such as Add Child Incident, where you need to select a specific item to add
  • update actions that enable users to update attributes on the current object, such as the Complete Mandatory Data action in the Full Incident process (you can update attributes that appear on the default window using an Update... action)
To perform a bulk action:
  1. With the required query results list displayed, on the Web Access query menu icon menu on the query results title bar click Bulk Actions.
Check boxes appear alongside the rows in the query results list.
  2. Click the rows that you want to perform the bulk action on.
You can select all of the rows on a page using the check box in the header row.
  3. Right-click the results list, then click the required action in the shortcut menu.
If the action has an associated window, the default window for the object appears. If the action has no window associated with it, the action proceeds immediately.
  1. Complete any fields as required, then click Apply to ... items.
The bulk action is applied. A message appears showing the number of actions that succeeded and failed.
